“Nike of Some Other Race” found objects, cloth, thread, embroidery on rubber. 2014

I haven’t decided on the final title for the  work above.  While I was working on it I kept on thinking about this sculpture:

“Nike of Samothrace” a 2nd-century BC marble sculpture of the Greek goddess Nike (Victory)

Wishful thinking I’d say, but anyway….any thoughts on the title?
