In the previous post I mentioned the up and coming group exhibition: Industrial Karoo: Fear and Loss. (curated by Katie Barnard du Toit) This piece above is my other contribution for this exhibition which opens on the 31st of July at the Reservoir Gallery in Bloemfontein:
This exciting and remarkable gallery space, (formerly used as the official fresh water reservoir of the larger Mangaung area) and only open for exhibitions during the winter months, is the perfect environment from which to address the essence of water security and natural resource management into the 21st century.
The works are mounted in box frames and I am so excited to be a part of this. A catalogue of this exhibition will be published an made available….I will post more info later this month.
In the future I think I will try and avoid embroidering with copper wire because this is what kept on happening to me:
It definitely pushed the limits of my patience!
