“The pursuit of happiness is elusive; it is life-long, and it is not goal-centered.
What you are pursuing is meaning – a meaningful life….and it isn’t fixed, but changing the course of the stream, or dealing new cards, its going to take a lot of energy.
There are times when it will go so wrong that you will barely be alive, and times when you realize that being barely alive, on your own terms, is better than living a bloated half-life on someone else’s terms.
The pursuit isn’t all or nothing – its all AND nothing. like all quest stories.”
Quote from a book I’m currently re-reading: “Why be happy when you could be normal?” by Jeanette Winterson
Studio news: …we are moving in 10 days time to a new town, new house and thus a new studio! So this will be my final post for 2018….Looking forward to new beginnings!
Talking about moving and pursuing things I am delighted that some of my work will be included in the Forward? Forward! Forward…. group exhibition which opens on the 5th of December! You are invited:
“Creating takes up much of an artists time, and may seem a self-serving prospect. But the directive is to offer something meaningful, that hopefully provides a trans-formative experience.” P.S
“inspiration exists, but it has to find us working”- P.Picasso
So I am looking forward to settle in the new studio to get back to work, and I am grateful and blessed that there are those who wait and support it.
Wishing you all wonderful festive season!
