I feel so thrilled and moved that my work will be included in the 2017 Rijswijk Textile Biennial.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the opening, but for those of you that will be in the Rijswijk area…..
please know that you are invited! x

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away” -Unknown
Dear Friends, collueges and fellow bloggers…
Today I am very happy to share the following news with you:
- My exhibition: “Stink Afrikaners” from earlier this year at the Woordfees 2016 has been nominated for a Kyknet Fiesta Award for best Visual Art production at an Art festival!
Medium: Cotton thread, wood and rubber
Size: 61 x 31 cm
This is a ‘breathtaking’ moment for me since it is the 3rd time that my work is nominated for this award. (previous years 2012 for “Skeidingsangs” and 2015 for “Rubber ever After”!)
What an honour to be nominated amongst fellow artists like Alex Hamilton, Amanda Botha and Lien Botha!
Congratulations to all – (artwork by Roger Young)
- I was recently informed that my work was chosen to represent South Africa at the 2017 Textile Biennial at the Rijswijk Museum in the Netherlands in May 2017! A dream come true!

I am super excited and overjoyed.
I would like to wish you all a prosperous 2017, and thank you for all the support, encouragement, likes, comments and messages. I appreciate each and everyone.
