Women’s day exhibition snapshots…and invitation to a walkabout

Installation view of my work in the group exhibition at Millennium gallery

So, a while ago I invited you to the opening of a Women’s day group exhibition at Millennium Gallery (Pretoria).

Today I would like to share some photos of the opening night, or those of you, like myself, who couldn’t be there.

A big thank you to fellow artists and friends who did attend the opening, and for sharing the pictures with us.

And for those of you who couldn’t make it to the opening but live in the Pretoria region, you are invited to a walkabout at the gallery tomorrow:

Best wishes for a great weekend!

If been struggling lately to re-write an artist statement for my upcoming exhibition in September; and since we are celebrating Women’s day tomorrow, I thought it would be a nice idea to share one of the many artists who I admire (in this case Marlene Dumas)’s writings:

P.S where she writes ‘paint’ I read “Embroider” 🙂
